Hey all, I am putting Super Mega on an indefinite hiatus today. If you watch this video, you will see why. This video is about the allegations against the other SuperMega (completely different people whom I am not affiliated with), how in my opinion the other SuperMega ripped off and destroyed my brand, my lawsuit against them, the fallout, and why I have to put my Super Mega on an indefinite hiatus. Thank you to everyone who's read the comics over the years, made funny fan comics, supported my work on Kickstarter and Patreon, and of course joined in on good ol' Laser Day. All of you are awesome, and I'll miss you a lot.

New Fan Art
Hey guys ;D

Not sure if anybody has been wondering this, but you may have noticed that I don't talk about much in my news post. It's always just site-related things and then fan art. WHY IS THAT? Well, for one thing I don't like to talk about hobbies and such because it just kinda ruins the illusion. It's the same reason I don't link out of the site. Once something connects to the outside world, it's kinda like "oh", and Super Mega doesn't seem as self-contained. Also, not everyone is interested in the same hobbies as me, and Super Mega is for everybody, so I don't want the site to be like the comics are for everybody but the news post is just for people like me. I think that was a run-on sentence, but I'm not gonna go back and check. :O

Also there are other things I could talk about, like "what if" stuff and random thoughts and such. The thing is, I feel weird even talking about something like that, because if I have any interesting ideas I want to save it for the comic. SO, basically what I'm saying is that the news post is here for notes on the site, and fan art commentary. Anything more and suddenly my news post is another feature on the site, and I have to make it entertaining, blah blah blah.

Okay okay, time for fan art

The first is a no-words comic (hard to pull off!) by pinky3po called A Boring Story. Like I just said, making a comic without words is not that easy to pull off, and I think he did a pretty good job. The only thing that confused me was that I thought the talking bubbles were showing an ongoing story, when it was really just random images. The sixth frame is my favorite, it makes me smile. Just the thought that he went in there to get some ice cream and suddenly there is a little bug chasing him I think that is funny. The ending is very clever (as is the whole comic, as a matter of fact)

Next is a comic called The South Pole by monkeybone2002. I like how fast they get to the South Pole (or maybe it took many months? who knows). The ending is funny and anti-climactic :^: (thumbs up). Thanks, monkeybone2002!

Third is just a teaser from Johnham for an upcoming comic. The teaser is called Power Thrills Self-Help Hour: Part 1. What will it be like? Nobody knows! (I do)

Fourth is Rocketship by Zealous Demon. My favorite part in this one is when the guy takes off with the other guy in his takeoff-fire and he says "ow". The (Really!)'s are funny too. I like how in the end he is alive in one frame and instantly dead in the next. Thanks, Zealous Demon!

Fifth and last for today is Birds by Futt Bucker. If you're confused, I'm pretty sure the point is that the guy in the 1st, 2nd, and last frames are all the same guy, but the one getting eaten by the birds is some other guy. I like the idea. Reading it again it's funny to think that all the birds are gathering around him, but they are all different birds from the ones that attack and aren't going to do anything. I find that funny for some reason.
