What kind of Super Mega shirt would you like to wear? I've found a place better than cafepress.com, so black shirts and pretty much any color are allowed

So far the only shirt I've kinda decided on is the first new Abozzi with the "A TREE FOR EACH OF US!" picture, displayed in a yellow blob square on the front of a black shirt (Which I've concluded is probably the best way to use a yellow backround without having a bright yellow shirt).

I don't know why that one appeals to me, but I would want to wear it on a shirt

GO ALL THE WAY

How about one that's just a standard running man/super mega logo combo.

I just noticed the Running Man has feet. I mysteriously stopped drawing feet around the 7th comic or so, and I never went back

What about a completely new shirt design that isn't in any comic or abozzi? Y'know, give us some incentive.

Yellow shirts.

Any other color is not Super Mega. It will not be allowed on my planet.

Here's an idea for a shirt: The Gentlemen, with "Civilized" or some cool word like that under them. With the black/yellow Super Mega logo on the back.

It could also be half black, half yellow. Personally I think black is a much better color for a t-shirt. I have a yellow shirt and it just doesn't satisfy me as much as my blacks shirt.

A half and half thing might be cool, though.

Here are some ideas for your stupid t-shirts that I will not purchase:

It should go without saying that the supermega logo is on these somewhere as well as the website address.

1) The bird giving the thumbs up.
2) You could have the super mega logo and then have the genie from the moon saying "Just thinking about it blows my mind." You'd probably have to draw it again though.

That's all I can think of.

Guys, what about this. A black shirt but with a large yellow box, and within this box is the whatever. The box only has to be as large as it needs to be.

oops, I guess you're right.

I'll just list some other ideas then, since that's what I'm good at. Listin'.

-A bunch of panels with faces saying Super Mega testimonials. I.E. "Super-Mega is good enough", stuff like that. I think the more funny dialogue, well, it would be funny.
-A panel on the front setting up the resolution of the joke on the back.
-GNAAAOOOOORRRRLL
-The last two panels from this comic, which are my favorite last two panels in any of the comics: http://supermegacomics.com/index.php?i=31
-Something along the lines of the clam comic, where the punchline is "That's not funny, that is very serious". That's probably the other favorite comic of mine.

kthxbye

That's pretty good Keith.

Although the yellow definitely looks better. Too bad it's yellow.

But the guy all the way to the right is totally an adventurer not a gentleman.

I wouldn't wear that civilized shirt, nor would I wear the "tree for each of us" shirt.

I may wear a shirt with running man, or on with head is a dinosaur though. Sorry I'm not good for actual ideas at the moment.

I would buy a shirt if it had on the front the panel that said "Man we are some robots" and then on the back had the "That was a cool robot thing to do" panel.

And then it said supermegacomics.com or something on it.

And about the Civilized shirt, I don't know the font Johnny uses for speech, so I just picked one.

These are just concepts, people. Concepts. Conceptual. Conceive inside of me.

I really like the The Chase shirt. I'd buy it for school. What's the place you found, Johnny?

Put the old abozzi with the rest of them instead of seperating them into the features page.

You don't pay to have them made and you don't get any money from the sales. No profit except for the site that made them.

I like that one alot. Thanks Keith. I'm kind of torn on whether I like it with black on the collar and sleaves. I don't like that on my shirts, but I do like how it is almost like the border on the SM comics.

That CIVILIZED shirt is fucking emosewa. I'd buy a yellow one.

And the fact that nobody will get them is alright with me. It's better for publicity.

Seriously, though, as long as there's a decent variety when these shirts are released, you're pretty much guarenteed I'll buy one.

Exactly. People will go, "What the hell is that about?" and you're like, "Read Supermegacomics.com to get it." and they do.

I mean, look at PA's Fruit Fucker shirt. You know what's going on, but people who don't read PA don't.

damn you guys and your yellow shirts

I'm not worried, though, because I think Johnny likes the black shirt thing, too.

And what Johnny says, goes; he's the boss.

OK, these are all ones I thought would look good on a shirt, just browsing through the comics.

Obviously the colours can be reversed due to your own taste.

Yes.

The robot comic.

Oh, and the robot comic.

WAIT. DON'T FORGET THE ROBOT COMIC.

And if you have any room, make one with the robot comic.

And then maybe you could have one with the Gutterman one.

I think there should be shirts of all the main characters. Like Funky Man, Tree, Head is a Dinosaur, Power Thrills, Chitters 100, Charlie, etc. They could be saying stuff too. I would give you ideas about stuff to say. But you are funnier than me. And less lazy maybe. So you should do it.

AND IF YOU DON'T I WILL MAKE MY OWN.

One of them will have BIRD THUMBS UP .

Seriously, I will buy all the t-shirts you make. So make some!

Unless they're black. Yellow is the color of super mega. This horpse :horpse: climbed a tree and got stuck so that we could have yellow shirts (I know I said that before, but that was in a different thread). Listen to the horpse!

I don't think doing a two-part deal with one part on one side and the other on the back is a good idea... Very rarely is someone going to see both sides, and in the right order...

And also guys you have to remember that the shirts will be better if they are interesting to someone who hasn't read Super Mega at all...

No, You have to remember that we are telling you what we would buy. Who the hell cares if the shirt is interesting to the people who haven't read it Super Mega If we don't buy the shirts and wear them? Then no one will see the shirt, and nobody new will come to your site. I think your first concern should be with those that are currently fans of the site.

Anyway, if you look at the shirts at the PA store, they aren't really anything but characters on a shirt. People buy them because "Oh I love Carboard Tube Samurai" or "I love Twisp and Catsby," not because they want to advertise the site (not that it needs advertising).

I mean look at this shirt. This shirt makes no sense to anyone who hasn't read the site:

Of course, there is a difference. They are trying to generate profit to live on whereas you want to advertise. In which case, you should probably put a short comic strip on the upper back of the shirt that someone can read while sitting behind you in class or something.

Alternatively, convice Loki to go on a serial killing spree and leave cards advertising Super Mega at the scene of the crime. He'll be known as the Super Mega Killer and generate a billion hits for the site. When he's caught, he can blame it on Super Mega Comics for warping his mind.

I just made this thread to help me get ideas, and I'm telling you guys I'm not going to use ideas that you need to read a comic to get anything out of.

edit: yeah that's a good point OneHit, maybe I will do shirts like that, I have to think about it

So draw somethings up and then present them here for us to critique. We can't design new stuff for you we can only rehash things that were meant for a full comic.

How much does it cost you to make a shirt, Johnny?

If it's nothing, then why not just make these shirts. I mean, people will buy them. Then you can make the shirts you want, too.
